Abstract: The tribological performance of contacting surfaces is influenced by surface morphology, hardness, and lubrication. In metal forming, die surface conditions impact product surface finish. This study investigated these factors using a pin-on-plate tester. Results showed that surface roughness and lubrication affect friction and transfer layer formation.
