Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Spirulina platensis, a nutrient-dense cyanobacterium, has gained attention for its potential benefits in gut microbiota health. This study explores the formulation and efficacy of an herbal Spirulina platensis syrup designed to support gut microbiota balance. Rich in bioactive compounds, including phycocyanin, polysaccharides, and antioxidants, Spirulina promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria while inhibiting pathogenic strains. The syrup formulation enhances bioavailability, ensuring optimal absorption and therapeutic effects. Preliminary findings suggest its potential in modulating gut microbiota, improving digestion, and boosting overall gut health. Further clinical studies are warranted to validate its long-term benefits.
