Abstract: Entities and phenomena—electromagnetic waves (light spectrum), gravita-tional fields (spacetime curvature), atoms, molecules, cells, and tissues—eachexhibit an empirically verifiable property termed “observer status.” Thisproperty is defined as the measurable capacity of each entity to interactwith its environment, contributing to the maintenance of coherence acrossall scales of physical and biological systems. Coherence is evidenced by theconsistent application of physical laws and the functional integration of sys-tems, spanning quantum, molecular, cellular, and cosmic domains.
