The Big Bang as a Topological Phase Transition: Entropic Genesis of Space-Time from Dimensional Reconfiguration
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This work proposes a conceptual framework that reinterprets the Big Bang as a topological phase transition, rather than a singular explosive origin. The early universe is theorized to have existed in a lower-dimensional state (0D–2D) in which entropy flow was structurally suppressed and time was undefined. The emergence of a 3D manifold is presented as a critical threshold that enabled irreversible information dynamics and the first definition of physical time. This transition provides a structural basis for understanding the observed features of the universe, such as the cosmic microwave background, baryon acoustic oscillations, and large-scale expansion. Rather than contradicting standard cosmology, the model offers an interpretation of the underlying preconditions that make space, time, and observability possible. The theory connects thermodynamic entropy, information flow, and dimensionality into a unified narrative and invites further research into entropy-based cosmological models and the informational geometry of the early universe.
