Abstract: This study investigates the evolutionary dynamics of dihydrofolate reductase-thymidylate synthase (DHFR-TS), a critical enzyme targeted by antifolate drugs in Toxoplasma gondii treatment. Through comprehensive phylogenetic analysis of 15 T. gondii strains, the research reveals significant discrepancies between genomic predictions and protein sequence annotations in public databases.
