Abstract: The article reveals the content aspects of the additional professional training program "Designing the educational process for the formation of natural science literacy of students in primary schools", the implementation of which is one of the means to improve the methodological competence of teachers of chemistry, physics and biology in the system of additional professional education. Examples of practical works that allow us to diagnose the achievement of the planned skills of students are considered.
