Relative Temporal Dysphoria, Consciousness, and Mental Health

Abstract: This paper introduces a structural explanation for mental and psychological disorders through the lens of Temporal Mechanics. We define Relative Temporal Dysphoria (RTD) as the measurable misalignment between the Absolute Present — the active interface where consciousness operates — and the physical frame of the brain, which executes within the past. This persistent lag explains both the subjective and clinical symptoms observed in nearly all mental health conditions. The model unifies delayed reaction time, emotional flatness, dissociation, and paralysis under a single temporal displacement mechanism.
