Abstract: The genus name Richteria Girault, 1920 (type species: R. lamennaisi) is a junior homonym of Richteria Jones, 1874 (Ostracoda). As the name Richteria Girault, 1920 has no known synonyms, the name Manlymymar nom. nov. (urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: ED8FC717-AE14-4DD5-9B6B-889F4D804FD4) is here proposed as replacement name. The name Manlymymar (gender: neuter) is formed from Manly, QLD, the type locality of Richteria lamennaisi; and the family type genus name Mymar. Consequential changes: Manlymymar ara (Girault, 1920) comb. nov., M. bicornutum (Girault, 1930) comb. nov., M. lamennaisi (Girault, 1920) comb. nov.
