Abstract: Report on the BETTER Life Summer School for Early Career Researchers held in the Czech Republic from 8-14 September 2024. The BETTER Life Summer School was designed to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in socially engaged research (SER), emphasizing its critical role in fostering the development of local communities and local businesses through the involvement of science and various stakeholders. The event aimed to demonstrate how research can act as a catalyst for positive societal impact, highlighting the importance of engaging with social issues.
