Abstract: Fires pose a phenomenal threat to the human kind. The destruction and losses suffered fromThese fires are enormous and inevasible. Fire fighters all around the world put their lives on the line while tackling this inferno. Inspite of a large number of technological advancements, it is still difficult to fight fires. Due to urban proliferation our society hasturned into a high-rise concrete jungle which becomes inaccessible at times of crisis, specifically during structural fires. Withadvancements and developments in drone technology we can leverage the application of drones for firefighting services. Theversatility of drones provides us with an opportunity to mold them according to our requirement. Our project aims at developing a prototype of a firefighting drone which can aid the containment of fires and minimize the casualties. All together for the framework to be effective, a layout of requirements and functionality has been drawn and a quad-copter with an extinguishing system has been designed. In addition, this system is equipped with a camera for the surveillance and navigation purposes. The drone can be controlled by the fire personnelfrom a safe distance thus significantly reducing the degree of human involvement and risk of physical injuries in firefighting
