Abstract: Nigeria stands at a crossroads in the digital revolution. While global best practices in ethical AI are emerging in regions like the European Union, Nigeria is actively defining its path through a comprehensive National AI Strategy. This publication examines the interplay between global ethical frameworks and the locally tailored Nigerian strategy, highlighting the nation’s strategic objectives, ecosystem mapping, and the critical enablers and challenges that shape AI policy. The analysis underscores Nigeria’s commitment to leveraging AI for socio-economic transformation while ensuring ethical, inclusive, and sustainable development.
