Abstract: Summary. The idea of culture change in health systems is based on the belief that culture is linked to organizational performance. Issues of cultural change in a highly mobile national and international environment become issues of survival. Cultures of healthcare institutions, which emphasize group affiliation, teamwork, and coordination have been associated with better implementation of continuous quality improvement practices. The component of management that is focused on organizational culture is very important in the medical institution, as it can influence organization results.
