Regional vocabulary of Kamchatka region in internet communication

Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of regional vocabulary of Kamchatka region in Internet communication. The authors examine the features of functioning of local words and informal toponyms in the Internet environment. The research is related to analysis of peculiarities of functioning of regional words, which have arisen under influence of cultural-historical and natural conditions of the region. The article emphasizes the relevance of creating lexicographic publications of regional vocabulary and considers their specificity. The material was made up of comments and publications of platform users on social networks, as well as data from local residents' surveys. The paper presents a sample of characteristic regionalization-appellations and informal regional toponyms, their definitions and examples of use in Internet discourse. Historical and socio-cultural factors of formation of Kamchatya dialect are highlighted. The main results show that regionalisms reflect unique realities of Kamchatka. The work highlights the importance of such studies for the development of lexicography and popularization of regional cultural heritage.
