Abstract: The future of the Internet is shaped by the resulting technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, quantum computers, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The migration from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0 enables distributed systems, improving security, privacy and user autonomy. Progress in 5G and 6G networks revolutionize connectivity, allowing faster data exchange and Meta-verses expansion to be exchanged. These innovations promise efficiency and accessibility, but they also have concerns about cybersecurity, data protection and digital ethics. Quantum computing can interfere with encryption methods and require new security frames. Depending on global initiatives, the digital gap can be expanded or closed. Political decisions - Manufacturers need to harmonize innovation with regulations to ensure a fair and open internet. The collaborative approach between governments, businesses and society is critical to creating a safe, decentralized, sustainable digital future.
