Abstract: This deliverable presents a Blueprint with recommendations to strengthen Science-Policy-Society Interfaces (SPSI) in the marine domain. It builds on the findings from CrossGov (WP2 and WP3), developed as part of the coherence and cross-compliance analysis of EU Green Deal policies. The Blueprint serves both as a guide to improve science-to-policy processes for evidence-based policymaking and as a self-assessment tool. It offers a conceptual structure focused on diagnosing and characterizing the science-for-policy ecosystem, based on key Building Blocks: data and knowledge, assessments, science advice models, knowledge transfer mechanisms, permanent SPSI platforms, competences for researchers and policy-makers, and available resources. Drawing from the CrossGov analysis, it also proposes two sets of recommended actions one targeting EGD-related marine policies broadly, and the other focused on specific sectors and policy areas—illustrated with practical examples and lessons learned from the project.
