Abstract: Intelligent User Interfaces (IUI) have transformed the way humans interact with computers. IUIs promise to optimize the user experience by improving the efficiency, effectiveness and naturalness of human-computer interaction. The development of IUIs motivates innovation in different industries, allowing software to be more accessible in different environments, contexts, and scenarios. The article presents a systematic literature mapping study to identify research gaps in IUI development. In addition, gaps not covered by academia or industry are presented.
