Abstract: This article explores the integration of problem-based learning (PBL) as a pedagogical strategy to enhance professional communicative competence in foreign language education. It discusses theoretical frameworks, practical implementation strategies, and empirical evidence supporting the efficacy of PBL. The article highlights the relevance of PBL in aligning language education with real-world professional requirements, especially in non-philological fields such as economics, engineering, and medicine. It also outlines the key components of effective PBL task design and assessment mechanisms that foster communication skills essential for the 21st-century workforce.
