Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Rural-to-urban migration and detected urbanization of the city have changed diet habits significantly, especially among the low-income population. This study examines how urbanization affects the pattern of food consumption in Malkajgiri, a suburban area in Hyderabad, Telangana. It throws light on shifts due to energy-erosion from traditional diets, fresh yield in processed foods, lack of time and limited access to financial instability.
