The Computational Burden of Time: A Non-Linear Interpretation of Temporal Perception with CODES
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Time is often treated as a linear, fundamental dimension of reality, but this assumption may be flawed. Instead of existing as an independent entity, time may be an emergent phenomenon arising from the density of overlapping physical interactions. This paper explores the idea that time is not an absolute structure but a cognitive processing artifact—an illusion created by the way our intelligence perceives sequential physical changes. We analyze time through the lens of relative definitions, physical constraints, and chirality to propose a non-linear interpretation of temporal perception.
