Abstract: Optimized VCSEL Layer Design: The VCSEL structure is designed for single-mode operation by optimizing gain-to-cavity offset, current-wavelength tuning, and oxide aperture size. The devices exhibit a tuning coefficient of ~0.9 nm/mA and ~0.63 nm/{degree sign}C, with a 15 nm gain-to-cavity offset ensuring spectral alignment at elevated temperatures.
