Abstract: Perovskite quantum dots (QDs) have been considered as new-generation emitters for lightings and displays due to their exceptional optical characteristics. Numerous studies have demonstrated that incorporating polymers can enhance the stability of perovskite QDs by mitigating the adverse effects of external environmental factors. However, the integration of perovskite QDs into polymers still faces challenges such as luminescence degradation and poor dispersion. In this study, we propose a surface medium anchoring (SMA) strategy with green (solvent-free), rapid, and large-scale characteristics to synthesize CsPbBr3 QDs on the surface of organosilicon microspheres (abbreviated as OM-CsPbBr3). SMA possesses two distinctive features: (i) the high compatibility between organosilicon microspheres and polymers enables the formation of a uniform film; (ii) the surface-rich nature of organosilicon ensures excellent dispersion of perovskite QDs and prevents luminescence quenching due to particle aggregation. As a result, the prepared OM-CsPbBr3/polystyrene (PS) composite films exhibit high uniformity characteristics, as evidenced by the low standard deviation (SD) of photoluminescence (PL) intensity of 0.026 compared to that of 0.075 for control samples. Meanwhile, the optimized composite film exhibits a 1.49 times higher PL intensity than that of the control sample. Furthermore, the excellent OM-CsPbBr3 QDs have huge practical application in highly efficient lightings, demonstrated by white-LED (WLED) with a powder efficiency of 113.2 lm/W at 10.4 mA, representing a remarkable 57.3% improvement compared to the pure CsPbBr3-based WLED. This strategy enables the preparation of uniform and highly luminescent perovskite QDs/polymer films, which can significantly accelerate the commercialization process of perovskite QDs.
