Implementing Midsemester Feedback for Actionable Course Transformation (MidFACT)
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The Midsemester Feedback for Actionable Course Transformation (MidFACT) Report is a structured, evidence-based tool designed to measure student insights midway through a course. Therefore, compared to end-of-semester evaluations, MidFACT provides feedback allowing instructors to make timely adjustments to enhance overall teaching and learning experiences. Therefore, in this session, we share our experience in implementing MidFACT by focusing on three key areas. (1) we discuss how we collected feedback to evaluate student engagement, course clarity, instructor effectiveness, and technology and learning Resources (2) we outline how the collected feedback is analyzed and reported, detailing the process of extracting student responses into actionable insights (3) we explore instructors perception from utilizing MidFACT to adjust their teaching. Participants will gain practical insights into how they can leverage midsemester feedback to create a more responsive, student-centered learning environment and fosters a culture of continuous course improvement.
