Abstract: This scoping review investigates the current status in the literature on the optical properties of resin cement and dental indirect restorations, such as veneers and crowns, with a specific focus on the interactions between resin cements and various restorative materials. Understanding these interactions is essential for achieving restorations that not only provide immediate visual harmony but also maintain long-term color fidelity and performance. The study also aims to map knowledge gaps on how the choice of resin cement can significantly impact the aesthetic and functional outcomes of indirect dental restorations.
