Critical Analysis of PM Kusum Yojana

Abstract: This research paper critically analyses the implementation and impact of PM Kusum Yojana, i.e., ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Mahabhiyan Yojana’ [hereinafter as PM Kusum Yojna] aimed at promoting the use of solar panel among farmers. The researcher would strive to find out the gaping between the proposed policy “PM Kusum Yojana” and its execution, operational aspects & performance, for that matter the researcher would try to find out the background of the policy as well as vision and mission of the executory body i.e., “Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)”. Further, it would be analysed that whether this scheme has achieved in any proportion its target objects during the time span of last three years (2019-2022). To deal with it, researcher has conducted an interview through closed schedules to appraise the awareness about this scheme among Farmers. It was observed, while interacting with farmers, that there was lack of awareness amongst them regarding PM Kusum Yojana.
