Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This blog post explores the pivotal role that Rosa 'Sibella' Macarthur Onslow played in establishing the Macarthur Rose Garden at Old Parliament House in Canberra during the 1930s. Her donations of the 'Etoile de Holland' and 'Shot Silk' roses commemorate significant contributions to the Australian wool industry by John and Elizabeth Macarthur. The gardens, which were opened in 1989, reflect a historical legacy.
