Abstract: What happens in Mallorca stays in Mallorca. Flotsam shows up the materiality of the leftovers of those who visit the beach, work there, or become stranded. The things displayed here might have been lost or thrown away and are surprising in their variety. Compared to personal statements which are always filtered through emotions and experiences, this flotsam bluntly displays a more direct reality of the mingling hotspot.
