Main Aspects and Problem Areas of Linguopragmatics
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Pragmatics is a subfield of linguistics that studies how context influences the interpretation of meaning in language. Unlike semantics, which is concerned with the meanings of words and sentences in isolation, pragmatics focuses on the ways in which context—including speaker intentions, social interactions, and the environment—affects communication.
