Assessing the Role of School Libraries in Supporting Information Needs of Higher Secondary Students in Tatibandh, Raipur District

Abstract: The present study assesses the effectiveness of school libraries in fulfilling the information needs of students at the upper secondary education level in Tatibandh, Raipur District. The present research used a mixed-methods approach to examine the current state, perceived effectiveness, and challenges encountered by school libraries in meeting the diverse information requirements of students. The poll reveals that while libraries are widely recognised as crucial academic resources, with 75% of students considering them indispensable for their studies, there are significant disparities in the quality and accessibility of services across universities.
