Abstract: This study examines the efficiency of Google map for navigation in rural areas and it is mainly focusing on Kerala. And the study also highlights user’s needs and the challenges they faced because of using this navigation system. While comparing urban areas with rural areas, urban areas have well-established navigation solutions and some distinct navigational complexities are present in rural areas. Through comprehensive surveys and feedback from the users, this research seeks to ascertain the efficiency of Google Maps in meeting the navigation needs of rural users without any complexities. By understanding user experiences and point outing specific challenges, this study aims to provide actionable insights for the enhancement of navigation tools to rural areas, this will ultimately help to improve navigation efficiency and usability in these areas.
