Different approaches to quantify the interfacial adhesion of hybrid composites produced by additive manufacturing
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Additive manufacturing allows more freedom during the production of a part in one singlestep. Material extrusion (MEX) is especially popular due to the low costs and broad range ofavailable materials. The concept of depositing hot material to a surface allows it to bond newlayers even if the surface was not produced in the same process step. Even more, it does notneed to be from the same material or produced by the same technique. However, combiningmaterials or processes always raises the question:How well do they bond?
