Macro and micronutrient analysis in nutrient solutions

Abstract: Inorganic nitrogen (NO3 -N & NH4 -N) in nutrient solutions (NS) are estimated colorimetric through vanadium chloride (VCl3 ) reduction method (NO3 -N) and indophenol blue method (NH4 -N). Spectrophotometric analysis also determine P and B concentration in nutrient solutions and plant extracts, In addition, the concentration of K and Na are estimated using a flame photometer. Finally, the concentrations of Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Zn & Cu are determined using an atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS).
