Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The impact of animal cruelty extends to the physical and emotional well-being of animals, the effectiveness of conservation efforts, and the safety of people. The article aims to investigate situational strategies that may prevent animal cruelty and conduct a comprehensive evaluation of their efficacy in reducing offenses against animals. This research employs a comprehensive approach by gathering data from many sources, such as peer-reviewed journals, papers, and books. The study investigates several situational preventative strategies, such as strengthening targets, limiting access, surveillance, altering the environment, implementing regulations, and supervising offenders. Employing situational preventative approaches shows promise in tackling instances of animal cruelty. However, the successful implementation of these restrictions requires a coordinated and varied approach that involves collaboration between law enforcement, government bodies, and conservation organizations.
