NEUROPROTECTIVE EFFECT Of COW COLOSTRUM In PENTYLENETETRAZOLE-INDUCED MODEL Of SEIZURE In MICE
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Introduction: Epilepsy is a chronic neurological condition in which groups of neurons, in the brain periodically transmit incorrect signals, leading to seizures. Oxidative stress and cognitive impairment are associated with Pentylenetetrazole (PTZ) -induced seizure. Cow colostrum (CC), a nutraceutical found in the first milk produced by female animals after childbirth, is known for its antioxidant properties. In this study, we assessed its effects on PTZ-induced seizures.
