Abstract: Almost all household in NE region of India, raise some pigeon in their home. Pigeon is a very familiar stout-bodied domestic bird with short necks and short slender bills with a fleshy beak. It is considered as the symbol of peace. They live in nests and the nests are made of sticks. Both the sexes incubate their eggs in their nest. They produce crop milk, which is secreted by a sloughing of fluid-filled cells from the lining of the crop.
