Soil-based agroecological policies and measures analysis

Abstract: This report aims to identify similarities and differences in the soil health strategies and policy instruments adopted in the seven countries participating in the INTO-dialogue project (Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Turkey). Five policy areas which are considered to be consistent with the principles of agroecology and have potential positive impacts on the sustainable agricultural soil management have been analysed in more detail. The document therefore provides an analytical framework and insights which can be useful to support the decisions of policy makers, farmers and other key stakeholders at both national and local levels.
