Abstract: Arytaina genistae (Latreille, 1804) Distribution General distribution. Europe, alien in North America. Distribution in Bulgaria (Fig. 52). Published records: RRW (Klimaszewski 1965, Głowacka and Harizanov 1983). Notes Arytaina genistae is particularly widespread in the western parts of Europe. The only records for Bulgaria were published by Klimaszewski (1965) from the western Rhodope Mountains. These specimens should be re-examined to exclude the possibility that they do not belong to the similar A. maculata, which is common in the south-western part of the country. Diagnosis Adult and fifth-instar immature. Hodkinson and Hollis (1987), Ossiannilsson (1992).
