Security and Privacy in IoT Systems: Challenges, Solutions, and Emerging Trends
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The Internet of Things (IoT) is revolutionizing industries by interconnecting devices to collect and share data. While IoT offers numerous benefits, it also introduces significant security and privacy risks. This paper examines the challenges related to security and privacy in IoT systems and explores various solutions, including encryption, decentralized networks, and privacy-enhancing technologies. Furthermore, we discuss the emerging trends in IoT security and privacy, such as blockchain integration, edge computing, and AI-driven threat detection. Our findings suggest that a multi-layered approach to security, combined with proactive privacy measures, is essential to mitigate the risks associated with IoT devices.
