Abstract: Subject of research. The process of formation of speech competence of the manager of special education institutionsThe purpose of the study. Identifying ways to improve the speech competence of the heads of special education institutions in the context of the public nature of their professional activities. Research methods. The research used general methods of cognition: analysis, generalization, synthesis, logical method. A systematic approach to understanding the essence of the managerial activity of the head of a special education institution is also applied.Work results. Conceptual approaches to solving the problem of formation of speech competence among managers of special education institutions are formed in the article.Field of application of results. Management system of a special education institution.Conclusions. The need to improve the speech competence of the heads of special education institutions can be met if the heads realize the need to improve communication skills and to create a specific language environment in educational institutions, taking into account inclusiveness.
