Conical Pick Cutter Wear Conditions of the Cutting Tool on Specific Energy and Dust Generation
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This dataset contains experimental results on bit wear condition, specific energy consumption, and dust generation during the linear cutting of coal. The data was collected using a Linear Cutting Machine (LCM) under controlled conditions, simulating the cutting process in underground mining. The dataset includes measurements of tool wear characteristics, energy requirements for cutting, and dust particle size distributions. These results are critical for understanding the relationships between cutting parameters and the efficiency and safety of coal mining operations. The data supports the manuscript by providing empirical evidence to evaluate cutting performance and its implications for operational optimization and health and safety in underground coal mines.
