A Mass-Based Perspective on Time Dilation and Gravity

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: In this paper, I propose an alternative hypothesis that reinterprets the relationship between mass, time, and gravity. Rather than treating spatial curvature as the primary driver of gravity, this hypothesis suggests that the slowing down of time is an inherent and inseparable property of mass. Mass cannot exist without inducing a local slowing of time, and this time dilation is hypothesized to determine the straightest possible paths of objects and light. The resulting time gradients across space, rather than curvature, guide motion and explain gravitational effects. From this perspective, spatial curvature emerges as a secondary effect of time gradients rather than being the fundamental cause of gravity.
