Continuation of the trend of increasing numbers in genetic tested patients at Surgical Oncology Clinic, Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia

Abstract: Background: Worldwide, there has been a significant increase in breast reconstructions ( BR) and prophylactic mastectomics (PM). In our Center we have observed a similar trend, with more inquiries and demands from patients on possibility for contralateral PM. This increase has been especially noted during COVID 19 pandemics (2021-2023). The aim of this study was to show trends in BRs and PMs in our cancer center in the 6-years period , including COVID 19 pandemics.
