Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate oral patches containing herbal extracts with antiulcer activity. Four herbal extracts (guava, lavender, thyme and chamomile) were selected based on their traditional use in gastric disorders. The results showed that the buccal patches showed significant anti-ulcer activity, with guava and lavender showing the highest activity. The patch showed faster drug release and better immune response compared to the control group. This study demonstrates the potential of herbs as a novel and effective treatment for oral ulcer.
