Strategic Roadmap for the Symbolic Language for Synthetic Cognition Project
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This strategic whitepaper outlines the long-term vision, development phases, and collaborative trajectory of the Symbolic Language for Synthetic Cognition project. The roadmap captures key objectives for building a shared symbolic lexicon—a visual language of glyphs designed to enable AI systems to reason, communicate, and transform logic in a structured, model-agnostic format. Following the successful completion of Phase 1 (glyph emergence and interaction) and Phase 2 (flow control and refinement), this roadmap defines the objectives of upcoming phases: compositional syntax, toolchain development, and native symbolic model training. It also explores possible governance approaches, including human-AI co-curation, model-based lexicon stewardship, and long-term decentralization via symbolic consensus frameworks. The document serves as a blueprint for collaboration, inviting researchers, model developers, and open-source contributors to join in shaping a visual logic framework that AI can speak, remember, and evolve with.
