Abstract: Azerbaijan’s strategic position at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, combined with its rich natural resources, makes it a key player in regional and global geopolitics. This article explores Azerbaijan’s growing relations with Israel, a partnership that has developed over several decades and is defined by shared interests in energy security, defense cooperation, and mutual support in navigating complex geopolitical dynamics. While Azerbaijan, a predominantly Muslim country, has historically supported the Palestinian cause, it has cultivated a discreet yet increasingly robust relation with Israel, driven by pragmatic strategic needs. This article delves into the various facets of their bilateral ties, examining diplomatic, economic, and military cooperation, as well as the influence of Azerbaijan’s Jewish community in strengthening cultural ties. The article also highlights the significance of Azerbaijan’s energy resources and the broader implications of this alliance on regional stability, offering insights into how these two nations balance their relation amid the shifting political landscape of the South Caucasus and beyond.
