Abstract: This paper outlines the development and execution of an Automated Changeover Switch integrated with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) for seamless power transfer between two independent power sources. The system is intended to improve the reliability of the electrical power supply by automatically switching between the main power source and a backup source in case of failure or overload. The paper details the system architecture, PLC logic programming, and simulation results, demonstrating the effectiveness of the system in preventing power interruptions and ensuring continuous power availability in critical applications.
