Λ as the Cosmic Eigenvalue: Emergent Time, Vacuum Energy Regulation, and the Oscillatory Structure of Spacetime

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: We propose a novel framework in which the cosmological constant Λ functions not as a fixed parameter but as a fundamental eigenvalue governing the oscillatory structure of spacetime. Λ defines the causal horizon, regulates the quantum mode spectrum, controls entropy accumulation, and sets the emergent tempo of time through cumulative phase evolution. This approach reframes the cosmological constant problem by naturally limiting vacuum energy mode sums and harmonizing quantum field theory with curved spacetime. We explore observational consequences of a dynamic or emergent Λ, including horizon-scale freezing, entropy bounds, and measurable redshift evolution. Connections to string theory, loop quantum gravity, and symmetry principles are discussed.
