Assessment of the Risks of Emergency Situations on the Base of Statistical Data

Abstract: Ensuring security in emergency situations requires reliable functioning of the emergency response system of various types, adequate to the level and nature of threats. The basis for planning and carrying out all emergency prevention measures is the statistical information of emergency monitoring, expertise, research and forecasts regarding the development of events. The article analyzes the risks of emergency situations, developed a mathematical apparatus and software implementation of the methodology for assessing the risks of emergency situations by nature of origin, types and levels in the state and in individual territories. A control algorithm for the implementation of the developed methodology is proposed. Experimental studies of the efficiency of the application of the method based on statistical data of monitoring emergency situations in the state over a certain period of time have been conducted.
