Autism Spectrum Disorder Desirable Toy
Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Our team designed a set of dinosaur-themed puzzles tailored to a child with ASD and ADHD, focusing on sensory needs, safety, and engagement. Using SolidWorks, we developed magnetic, colorful, smooth puzzle pieces that comply with Consumer Product Safety Commission standards while remaining budget friendly. Through an iterative design process, we created a portable toy that encourages independent play with simplicity. Our project highlights how thoughtful engineering can create inclusive play experiences for children with developmental differences.
