Abstract: The biopharmaceutical industry is increasingly adopting digitalization to enhance efficiency and product quality. Current systems like ELNs, LIMS, and MES often lack interoperability, driving vendors toward modular, standardized solutions, exemplified by initiatives like SiLA and the Allotrope framework. Digital twins and AI enable predictive analytics and in silico simulations, reducing costs and accelerating development timelines. However, challenges in technology transfer and data management persist. Organizations must foster collaboration among stakeholders, implement change management practices, and invest in training to overcome these hurdles. Ultimately, a digital strategy will improve connectivity and streamline processes, delivering better outcomes for patients.
