Abstract: We created a STEM Club at an elementary after-school program to provide students with an alternative activity to promote student engagement and spark an interest in the STEM fields. Students in grades 1-6 had the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities that included engineering challenges and science experiments. Feedback from students and staff suggested a great deal of enthusiasm for experiments and the STEM field itself. The project successfully fostered interest in young learners for STEM subjects.
